HOW DOES THE AUSTRALIAN RATINGS AGENCY SELECT BUSINESSES FOR AN AWARD?

ARA does accept nominations from the public and businesses themselves. In most instances, businesses are selected from consumer surveys, reputable engine searches and social media. The team at ARA constantly search for Australia's best businesses.

WHAT IF A BUSINESS CHANGES HANDS OR IS SUBJECT TO CONSUMER COMPLAINTS?

ARA reserves the right to withdraw awards at their sole discretion.

DO BUSINESSES PAY TO OBTAIN AN AWARD?

No. A small contribution is charged once an award is given to assist with advertising and staff costs.

DOES ARA PUBLISH A LIST OF AWARD RECIPIENTS?

Yes. A list of all Top10 businesses in each category will published on the Top10 Australia website. 

CAN A BUSINESS CANCEL THEIR SUBSCRIPTION TO TOP 10 AUSTRALIA?

Yes. A business can stop using the Top10 award and logo at any time and all future contributions will be immediately cancelled.

WHAT DOES THE BUSINESS RECEIVE FROM WINNING A TOP10 AWARD?

The award-winning business receives:

  1. Recognition for providing a superior service or product. Acknowledgement of
    being a leading Australian business.

  2. A decal of Top 10 Australia status to display at all business premises.

  3. Unlimited use of the Top 10 Australia logo and award to display at premises,
    stationery, web sites and all advertising.

  4. Listing on the Top 10 Australia website.

  5. ARA will issue a Press Release naming winners in each category.

  6. Promotion through ARA press releases and public email campaigns.

  7. Access to legal and mediation services.

MUST A BUSINESS BE AUSTRALIAN OWNED TO RECEIVE AN AWARD?

The business must have a majority Australian ownership.

DOES ARA ACT ON POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK FROM THE PUBLIC?

ARA accepts nominations from the public and will consider all nominations. Negative feedback from the public will be investigated and where possible a resolution between the business and the individual with be negotiated.
